AGM
Reminder to all members: Our AGM will be held this Sunday at Club Toowoomba in the Vista Room (upstairs), not in the Bowlers Den as previously advertised.
Please make every effort to attend. This is an important opportunity to have your say and help determine who will serve on this year's Board. Your attendance and participation are vital to the future direction and success of our club. We look forward to seeing you there.
GENERAL NEWS
Pennants will continue this Saturday 12 September at Club Toowoomba. Please note that all bowlers selected are to be at CT no later than 9:00am for the morning game and 1:00pm for the afternoon game.
Wests will cover the green fees; however, players will be responsible for purchasing their own meals.
Results last week - Round 1 Wests had a bye. The afternoon game against Drayton proved to be a much tougher contest, resulting in 3 losses, with an overall score of 65 to 49. Wests are currently running 4th in Division 1.
CLUB EVENTS
13th September – 10:30am – Sunday – Vista Room (up Stairs) – AGM, Lunch/Pizza being provided after the meeting. We urge all members to attend and support the incoming Board.
15th of September – 12:00pm - Tuesday Jackpot Triples (extended to 4s if high numbers)
20th September – 12:00pm – 3rd Sunday of the Month $500 day – Sponsored by CT, Range Meats & Wests
18th October – 9:00am – Sunday - Village on the Downs $3000 Open Floral 4s Carnival

Floral carnival Update:
This year's Carnival is proudly sponsored by Village on the Downs as our Major Sponsor, with valued support also being provided by RetireInvest, Burstows, and B & A Accounting. We sincerely thank all our sponsors for their generosity and commitment to supporting our club and this great event.
We will also be holding a raffle on the day and are currently seeking prize donations. If you would like to contribute a raffle prize, please let one of the committee members know or send me an email with details of your donation. Any support, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
We already have half a dozen teams entered and are aiming for 28 teams. We need the assistance of all members to help attract more teams. Our goal is to fill both greens and provide maximum exposure for our club and our sponsors while making the day a great success.
Please feel free to take some flyers, which are available in the office, and keep a few in your bowls bag. When chatting with bowlers at pennants, social bowls, or other events, encourage bowlers to enter a team and be part of the day.
A personal invitation can often be the difference between someone entering or staying at home, so let's all do our part to make this year's Carnival one of the best yet.
